How do i secure your bridal services for my wedding date?

Once you have received my bridal booking information and final quotation, 20% of deposit/booking fee is required to secure your date and time. This fee is not only used to secure my service (and additional artists for big bridal party) on the required date but also lock in the prices (to avoid price increases). Booking fee is non-refundable and will be credited to deduct from the final balance. The final invoice will be provided, and remaining balance is due 3 days before your big day if via bank transfer.

Do you come to me or I come to you for the session?

My home studio is located at Point Cook, so either. For trial sessions I recommend you to come to my location as I can have access to all products, eyelashes and hair tools when I need to utilise them.

Do you travel interstate or overseas?

Yes, I do. Flights, accommodation and off-site travel fees/local transportation costs are not included. However for interstate bookings I have bridal service package fees available. Please discuss with Marlene for further information.

 What are your travel fees?

Travel fees vary depending on location and duration of travel. Parking fees also may apply where free street parking is not available.

How early can I book makeup and hair services?

For non-bridal booking, I only take booking 3 months in advance. For bridal booking, you may book up to 1-1.5 year in advance.

Do you offer touch up sessions?

Yes, please refer to my bridal booking information sheet.

May I go without a trial session and book you to do bridal makeup?

yes, that would be fine. However, I highly recommend that you do have a trial session. This is to ensure that we have come to mutual agreement with the look that you are looking to achieve on your wedding day. This will also ensure that you have peace of mind just in case if you have unknown allergies/sensitivities to particular skincare/makeup products even eyelashes (inc. glue) that I may need to put more attention to this matter.

How long does makeup or hair session takes for each person?

For bridal makeup only, please allow at least 1.5 hours – 2 hours depending on the look we are aiming to achieve and additional 1 – 1.30 hour for bridal hairstyling (time varies according to hair length, volume and style). For bridal party makeup, please allow 45 minutes to 1 hour for each person’s makeup session and additional 30-40 minutes for hairstyling. For special occasion or event makeup and hair, please allow at least 1 hour and 30 minutes for each session.

What products do you use?

I use range of established makeup brands such as Giorgio Armani, Dior, Estee Lauder, MakeUp For Ever, MAC, Hourglass, Tom Ford, Cle De Peau and many more of established cosmetic brands.

What does the trial include and what are the things to be discussed?

During the trial, we will go through the following:

  • Skin consultation - to see what your current skincare routine is and what recommendations may be made to achieve better skin before your big day.

  • Makeup looks and hairstyle preferences – this will give me better ideas on what your look preferences are, at the same time give you some suggestions on overall look that will better compliment your wedding dress, your face feature and skin and hair condition (I will explain more during trial as everyone is different)

  • If you have your veil and accessories ready, please bring along with you during trial so we can see how the final look with veil and accessories such as hairpieces/earrings. This is not a must as we can still discuss how you like your final look once you have decided on your makeup and hairstyle should you still deciding on veil details that may need some adjustments and accessories/no accessories.

How long does a trial take?

For makeup only trial, this can take up to 1.5 hours but for hair and makeup, can take around 2.5-3 hours.

What do you need to set up for workstation for bridal preparation on the day?

A study/working/dining sized table (please no low-height or low-line coffee table) along with 2 chairs close to power outlet access for hair tools and lighting requirement. If you can have an area to set up where natural light hits the room/area better, this will be fantastic. For hair, please have normal height chair with lower back rest so this makes the styling easier whilst you can still relax and rest your back. Full size mirror/half size mirror will be ideal to have if you like to see the progress.

What if I need to cancel my booking?

Deposit will be forfeited and if you cancel the entire booking within 7 days before the booked day, full payment will be forfeited as assistant fees (if any) have been paid, potential bookings that have been turned down due to this booking will compensate for booking losses.
